Blues Hockey!!
The blues won again last night with a 5-1 victory over the Pheonix Coyotes. some people were looking at this game as a trap game for the Blues because the Coyotes were so bad. the blues had been playing really really good coming into last night and they are 7th in the Western Conference playoffs right now. but the blues didnt falter at all and they crushed the coyotes in every aspect of the game. the win kept the blues in a 7th place tie for the playoffs with only two games left. and only one of this is a tough game, so the blues should be set to make it to the playoffs!!!!!!! which would be huge for this young team to get this kind of experience. and in the playoffs im thinking they have a pretty decent chance at making it past the first round because i dont think anyone wants to play the blues right now. they are young and fast and they play very hard, and that combination could give anyone fits!

Astros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and Spring Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite team ever the Houston Astros started their season last night. They are opening their season with a 3-game series agains the Chicago Cubs in Houston. Im so excited for the season to get into full season because i love baseball and it's easily my favorite sport. I've liked the Astros for a long time and this year everyone keeps telling me that they are going to have a horrible year and i dont think the same at all. I think that they have one of the best lineups in baseball and if the pitching can hold up i think we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs.. Spring break also starts tomorrow and i cant wait, because im kind of getting tired of the same routine every single day. off early wednesday, off thursday, friday and the weekend. Tons of time for ballin!!!!!!!!! and i cant wait, im Pumped!

Chicago Private Schools!!!!!!!!! Terrible.
Once again this year an excellent team from down south made it to the state championship, but they werent able to win it because of the CHEATERS from the north. The IHSA never does anything about the Recruiting violations that take place every single year in Chicago public schools. Teams like Breese Central and Massac County take the players from ONLY their school and they are able to compete each and every year, and every year they take high hopes to the state tournament only to be beat by these All-Star teams from Chicago. This year Seton Academy beat a Very VERY good Massac County in the State Championship by 20 points and it wasnt even close. The problem is though that two of Seton Academy's top players transferred in from Peoria just for their senior year and the rest of the team was select players from all over Chicago. Some people might say that its just a coincidence that all these players transferred in for the same year on the same team BUT, i dont because of this... "I came here because I believed in Coach Ken," Thomas said. "A lot of coaches talked to me about going to their school and promised me different things. I had never heard of Seton, but I knew Coach Ken would build a champion here and help me get to the next level." This was a quote from one of the Seton Academy players.. For one thing why would you come to the school if you didnt ever even here of it, obviously things were promised to them.. TERRIBLE, recruiting to win a small class state championship, let us play a real team from Chicago not a select all-state team and see how many titles we win.

D Wade... Making His Case
Dwayne Wade has been known as a star in the NBA since he got into the league. He is know for his nickname Flash, which he recieved for obvious reasons.. The guy can fly, hes quick, and he can make any shot. The problem has been that even with Wade's stellar play the past couple years he has taken a back seat to other superstars like Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. This year though, Flash has taken over.. He leads the league in scoring and he has led a 15 win team from last year, to a 6 games above .500 record.. for many he has to be the MVP because of all the game winning shots he has made and the fact that he has a less than impressive team in the Eastern Conference playoffs as of right now.
SuperSectional
Tonight we play Massac County for the supersectional championship. So far this post season we have beaten 3 state ranked teams and proved we can play with anyone. We beat Nashville in the regional finals, Columbia in the 1st round of sectionals, and Greenville in the Sectional finals. A lot of people said that we have had the toughest road to super sectionals thus far. Massac on the other hand hasn't played anyone tough in the post season yet. They have played 3 teams so far that arent nearly as good as anyone we have met this post season. However, they are probably going to prove to be our biggest test this whole season. We havent played anyone that is as fast as them and they have one of the best players in the state leading them in Byron Bailey, but on the other hand they havent met a team with near the size as we have. No matter what they will have to have at least two guys shorter than 6'4 guarding two of our three post players, all of them are at least 6'5. So it will be a classic speed vs size matchup, and hopefully we come out on tough!!!!

I think im going to cry for the rest of the year.
This week my favorite players Danny Granger was hurt for the Indiana Pacers. He rolled his ankle and was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain which means he will be out for about 3 weeks. he was an all star this year and with his 25 points per game the Pacers stayed in the playoff race. but now we really dont have a chance without him, and that is frustrating because i was looking forward to the playoffs.

David Wiegmann
i found out friday night that i really look up to david wiegmann and i would like to make him my idol for the remainder of my senior year. i was so excited for the Columbia game and then D-Wig came out and scored like 28 points and allowed me to make fun of The BUETTNER the rest of the game. it was so awesome watching dave take it to those Columbians, and i am now forever in debt to david for letting me crush columbia's hopes and dreams!
